2023 OJI RIVER CHAPTER

In 2023, the Oji River Chapter of UUICI held its first annual conference. The focus was on a critical issue: domestic abuse in global communities and its impact on women’s mental health. We came together to address this challenge, seeking solutions for a safer, healthier future for women worldwide.

In the year 2023, we organized a significant event called the Umuada Orange Day in the United Kingdom. The purpose behind this event was to raise awareness about a critical issue: domestic abuse. Our intention was to shed light on a topic that affects many lives and to stand in solidarity with those who have experienced its impact.

Throughout the event, the importance of solidarity and support for survivors emerged as a central theme. The Oji River Chapter, in alignment with the broader UUICI mission, affirmed its dedication to empowering Igbo women and advocating for their rights, safety, and mental health.
